Welcome to Gays for Iran ("G4I"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website (gaysforiran.com), dating platform, and merchandise shop. By using G4I, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use G4I. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If we discover that an account belongs to a minor, we will delete it immediately and permanently. Falsifying your age is a violation of these Terms and may have legal consequences.

YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT USING G4I MAY EXPOSE YOU TO RISK, INCLUDING RISK TO YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY, FREEDOM, AND LIFE. G4I is intended to serve LGBTQ+ Iranians and members of the diaspora. In some jurisdictions, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, identifying as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer, or using a service like this one, may be illegal and may carry severe criminal penalties up to and including death. By using G4I, you acknowledge and accept all such risks.

THE OPERATORS OF G4I ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU AS A RESULT OF USING THIS SERVICE. This includes, but is not limited to: arrest, detention, prosecution, persecution, harassment, blackmail, outing, identity theft, financial loss, physical harm, emotional distress, family conflict, social consequences, or any harm caused by another user, by government action, by network surveillance, by device compromise, by user error, or by failure of the service itself. You assume all such risks voluntarily and knowingly.

We provide privacy and security tools — encryption, anonymous accounts, panic button, duress PIN, CDN front doors, and more — as best-effort defenses against the threats we know about. We do NOT guarantee these tools will protect you in every circumstance. No system is perfectly secure. You should evaluate your own threat model and decide for yourself whether using G4I is safe for you.

If you are in immediate danger, you should NOT rely on this service. Contact local emergency services (where safe), UNHCR, or one of the organizations listed on our Resources page.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or impersonate another person. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of any content (photos, bio, messages) you create. By uploading content, you grant G4I a limited license to display it within the service to other users. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

G4I sells merchandise through our shop (gaysforiran.com/shop). Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to:

Returns and refunds: Due to the custom nature of our merchandise, all sales are final unless the item arrives damaged or defective. Contact support@gaysforiran.com within 14 days of delivery to report issues.

G4I IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR SECURITY. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against attack or surveillance, or available in any particular jurisdiction. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user you meet through the service, whether online or offline. We do not screen, vet, or verify users, and we make no representation about who they are, what they want, or whether they are who they claim to be.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of whether the damages were foreseeable. In jurisdictions that do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless G4I, its operators, contributors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to other users. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed (see Privacy Policy for details).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
